Transforming challenging landscapes with retaining walls

Custom retaining walls for your outdoor spaces

Retaining walls are more than a practical necessity. They are an opportunity to bring structure, beauty, and long-term value to your property. Retaining walls create level areas for outdoor living, form elegant terraced gardens, and provide vital support to sloping land. A well-designed retaining wall not only prevents erosion but also adds long-term value to your property.

Structure that elevates the landscape

Here is how we work

1

Initial meeting

We’ll meet with you at your property to discuss your vision, understand your budget, and explore your expectations in detail. This site visit allows us to assess the landscape, consider the natural surroundings, and identify both the challenges and opportunities that will shape a thoughtful, tailored design response.

2

Design concept

After our initial meeting, we begin shaping your vision into a refined design concept. We’ll present detailed plans that bring together the creative direction, spatial layout, and key design elements of your landscape. This includes recommendations for plant selections, materials, and structural features. We’ll fine-tune the details together, ensuring every element aligns with your expectations.

3

Pricing

We will provide a transparent, detailed and itemised estimate or a fixed-price quote based on the scope of the work, as this will help you make an informed decision. It will include the cost of designs and plans if required, as well as the itemised cost of construction.

Depending on the materials used, our retaining walls can last for many years. We ensure they are built to withstand weather and soil pressures, that are unique to your property, and are constructed using proper installation techniques.

Retaining walls must have drainage behind the wall to prevent water build-up that increases the load or lateral pressure of the retained area, and reduces the load bearing capacity of the retaining wall. When we construct our retaining walls, we include suitable drainage specific to your wall design and property requirements.

Not necessarily. Retaining that is less than 1.5m in height or where there is no surcharge, generally do not require council building consent. If your retaining requirements are beyond this then we can organise engineered plans, and facilitate council consent process where a consent is needed. Retaining walls 1m or more in height will also need a suitable fall barrier (fence) to be building code-compliant.
